Join us to learn about two important ACLU-MN civil liberties initiatives and to take action together! At this engaging event, you will learn from our experts about the need for:
-A ban on facial recognition technology at both the state and local levels. Facial recognition technology isn't just an unthinkable incursion into our privacy, it's also racist and inaccurate with high error rates for people of color.
-Civilian review reform. Communities around the state are grappling with police departments and policing methods that have caused harm for generations. Change needs to happen, and empowered civilian review boards are one step in that process.
There will be ample time for discussion and questions – we want to hear your questions and your opinions of these changes.
Then we will take action together to advance these important issues.
